Dr. Arzu HUSEYNOVA,
Born in 1966.
From 1983 to 1988, she studied at the Faculty of Automation of Production Faculty in the Azerbaijan Oil and Chemistry Institute named after M.Azizbeyov on specialty of Applied Mathematics.
She defended her Ph.D. Thesis in 2005 and Post-Doctoral Thesis in 2016.
She began her career in 1988 as an engineer-programmer at the “Khazri” Transcaucasia MTI. In 1992-1995 she worked as head of Automated Information Systems Department at "Azərcihaz" under the Ministry of Material Resources; in 1995-2001, she served as Head of the Department at the Azerbaijan Institute of National Economy Management at the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan; as leading engineer-programmer at the Azerbaijan State Economic University in 2001-2005; in 2005-2014, she was the First Deputy Director of the Scientific Innovations Centre of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), and in 2014-2017, she worked as the Head of Department at the Institute for Scientific Research on Economic Reforms (ISRER) under the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
In July 2017 she was appointed as the Deputy Director of the Institute for Scientific Research on Economic Reforms (ISRER) under the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
She has been engaged in pedagogical activity since 1989. She lectured at Baku Ataturk High School, Azerbaijan National Economy Management Institute, Western University, Azerbaijan State Economic University, National Aviation Academy.
She is the author of 9 books, more than 100 scientific articles and 3 author's certificates.
Ph.D., Associate Professor Oruj IBRAHIMOV
He was born in 1937.
In 1955, he was admitted to the “Baku Statistics College” and graduated in 1958 with diploma in “Statistics” qualification. In 1959, he studied Economics at Baku State University and awarded with a university diploma in "Statistics" qualification in 1964.
He pursued his postgraduate education (Aspirantura) at the Moscow State University of Economics and Statistics in 1969-1972, and defended a thesis (dissertation) for the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences at the Moscow State University of Economics and Statistics in 1972, with the status of associate professor.
In 1973, he graduated two-year program in Journalism at Baku Journalism University. In 1974-1975, he studied Russian and French languages in Russian Federation (Moscow) and France.
From 1958 to 1969, he held the positions as economist, chief economist and head of the “Capital constructions” department at the Central Statistical Office of the Azerbaijan SSR. From 1972 to 1979, he was a lecturer, senior lecturer at the “Statistics” faculty of the Institute of Azerbaijan National Economy named after D.Bunyadzadeh and later he was elected to the position of associate professor of the said Institute. Between 1979 and 1989, he headed the “Statistics” department. Between 1975 and 1976, he was a professor at the Algerian Petroleum Institute (IAP). Between 1996 and 2005, he headed the Faculty of “General Economics” at “Odlar Yurdu” University. In 2013, he acted as a research consultant on “Evaluation of multi-dimensional poverty index in the Republic of Azerbaijan”.
Since 2009, he has been serving as the Deputy Director of the Institute for Scientific Research on Economic Reforms (ISRER) under the Ministry of Economic Development (now: Ministry of Economy) of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Currently, he holds the positions as Deputy Chairman of the Research Council of the Institute and Chairman of the scientific and methodological seminar.
The state award
For exceptional achievements, he was awarded with the “Tereggi” (Progress) Medal by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2014.
In general, O.Ibrahimov is the author of multiple scientific-methodical works and study books (about 90 print pages volume), including a monograph entitled “Methodological basis of the national wealth statistics”.
Born in 1980.
In 1997-2003 she studied at the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Cybernetics of Baku State University and received qualifications on applied mathematics and mathematical modeling. She continued her education in 2010-2011 with a Scholarship from the Government of Italy with a Master's Degree in International Public Affairs; between 2012 and 2016, she was a Ph.D. student in “Econometrics” at the Institute for Scientific Research on Economic Reforms (ISRER).
Since 2006, she has been a participant of numerous scientific and technical events in foreign countries with the financial support of various donors and organizations.
In 2004 she started working at the Institute of Cybernetics (now: Institute of Management Systems) under the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) as a senior laboratory assistant; as an expert in the Presidium of ANAS; project manager of the project titled "Establishment of Electronic Document Circulation" in 2008.
In 2010, she worked as an administrative assistant at the Azerbaijan country office of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Baku within the framework in joint project of the Ministry of Economic Development (now: Ministry of Economy) and UNDP.
From 2009 till July 2017 she worked as the Head the Department of Marketing and Coordination at the Institute for Scientific Research on Economic Reforms (ISRER) under the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
In July 2017 she was appointed as the Deputy Director for Strategic Development and International Relations at the Institute for Scientific Research on Economic Reforms (ISRER) under the Ministry of Economy.
For exceptional achievements, she was awarded with the “Tereggi” (“Progress”) Medal by the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2014.
