Science, Technology, Innovation (STI) Policy announces admission to the International Training Program!

“International Training Program on Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Policy and Management for Developing Countries”

(Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia)

(17-21 June 2019)

Training will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, under the auspices of UNESCO, with the International Science, Technology and Innovation Center (ISTIC).The aim of this training program will be on what is needed to move forward the Sustainable Development 2030 Agenda implementation.

The training will mainly focus on two goals.The first goal, to provide the participants an understanding of the basic elements in STI policy in support of national aspiration using the OMAR Model, first introduced in the ITPS training program in 2014 and to apply the templates of the OMAR Model in addressing the SDG.

Requirements for candidates:

·  Must be involved in the development and implementation of STI policy in their home countries

·  Must have  management functions in the middle and upper level of a government organization

·  Who have Good command of English, both verbal and written

Training, covering 5 days on 17-21 June 2019, involves participants in the study of STI Policy policies and key management principles, through best practices in STI Policy management, key competencies, policies and governance, it is planned to actively participate in development of policy responses and policy implementation, application of best practices in technology management, human capital development for STI Policy policies, support systems for national innovation system as well as national capacity building programs.

Training Participants will be provided with local guests, meeting packages, lodging and food, and will be required to receive travel grants from local organizations to pay travel costs to the city.
